Returning to the UK from the US, Natalie and James Davies wanted to build a wooden clapboard style home in the Welsh countryside. “I’ve spent lot of time in the US and had lots of photos of the look that I wanted to achieve,” says Natalie.
But the local climate can often be damp and wet, which meant that the maintenance requirements for wood could be high – and costly.

Why did the Davies choose Cedral?

“We wanted the exterior to be easy to look after, have the wow factor and last a lifetime,” says Natalie. “We found the dream plot for our house, with incredible views over the countryside, and wanted to make it feel like a holiday home, to have that feeling you’re always in a special place.”
