Visit ‘Build It Live’ later this month at the Kent Event Centre on 21 and 22 February 2026 to meet with property experts and suppliers who can discuss your next project including finding out about the benefits of the 2026 £15 Billion Warm Homes Plan. Whether you are planning a renovation, extension, or self-build project, this government initiative could make it easier to create a warm, energy efficient home with a grant.

Launched on 20 January 2026, the Warm Homes Plan is the largest home energy upgrade scheme ever introduced by the UK government. Over the next four years, the programme aims to transform five million homes, supporting households facing increased energy costs and driving the transition towards low-carbon, energy-efficient living nationwide.

All three annual Build It Live shows make accessing all the latest essential information for your property easier as everything is all under one roof. With several advice clinics, leading experts are on hand can answer all your questions including at the heating advice clinic where experts will explain how the Warm Homes Plan could help reduce your energy bills when you install one of the latest low-carbon technologies. These solutions are tailored to make buildings more sustainable, energy efficient and future-proof.

Chris Batesmith, editor of Build It magazine provides further expert insights into the Warm Homes Plan.

“When you visit our Heating Advice Clinic at any of the shows, we can explain how the heat pump upgrade process works as well as discuss the grants available and who is eligible.

“Sustainable heating solutions are at the heart of the government’s decarbonisation strategy. The Warm Homes Plan encourages the adoption of solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, and improved insulation to help households reduce energy consumption, cut bills, and increase the electrification of domestic heating across the UK.

“One third of the total funding is dedicated to low-income schemes, ensuring direct support for the most vulnerable households. The remaining funds are accessible to all homeowners, with generous grants and financial support available. Notably, the scheme extends the £7,500 grant for heat pump installation and offers assistance for insulation improvements. Those interested are encouraged to visit Build It Live to learn more about the options and process for claiming support before the funding is allocated.”

The new warm homes plan will see £5 billion allocated for comprehensive support to lower-income households. Eligible recipients pay nothing upfront for energy upgrades, including Solar panels and batteries (valued up to £12,000) together with Insulation upgrades and Low-carbon heating solutions such as air source heat pumps (ASHPs).
