Last Christmas I gave you my Ho! Ho! Home

A couple raffling their £3m dream Mega Home have put up their 14ft Christmas tree for the final time – with less than a month to go before the competition ends.

Mark and Sharon Beresford have spent 12 years in the riverside Huf Haus near Ringwood on the Hampshire/Dorset border and want another family to enjoy it.

After several sales fell through they decided to raffle the luxury property and people all around the world have been buying tickets – many sold as Christmas presents.

They saw a cyber-surge in sales following Cyber Monday – a 70 per cent increase – and with the deadline looming sales are rising.

Mark said:

“We’ve had 12 Christmases here with our children Max, Eleanor and Amelia and it’s been wonderful.

“We’re leaving the tree for the next owners and we hope they get as much enjoyment out of the house as we have.

“Recently we had our final party here – the Farewell to Avon Reach Christmas Party – with the up-and-coming singer Brogan performing for our guests.

“With the deadline approaching sales are picking up and it’s getting exciting.

“We’ll be sorry to leave but we’ve decided to move to be near our family in Sussex.”

The house is of German construction and arrives on-site in parts that are slotted together.

It is eco-friendly and includes six bedrooms, a snooker room and a cinema.

The property enjoys 60ft of river frontage and it comes with fishing rights.

Mark said:

“It’s actually like living in a treehouse and there is an abundance of wildlife as well as amazing views out across the Avon Valley to the New Forest.

“And if you don’t win the house, the second prize is a brand new Aston Martin.”

The last day for ticket sales is December 31.
